their offensive gameplan was horrible. Why they waited 3 quarters to get McCluster involved is beyond me.

And once they started using McCluster, I don't know why they didn't run that sweep-right play every time. They were reeling off 8-9-10 or more yards every time they ran it.

the gameplan was horrible...the fake field goal was very questionable...the game was over after they called the reverse to mccluster

you win. I can't believe they waiting so long to use him because they couldn't stop him.

When you have the D on their heels, are ripping off 8 yards a carry, and have plenty of time on the clock why, oh why, do you run a crazy trick play on 1st and 10?

Edited to add McCluster is the scariest player ever...when did Nutt realize he was on the team?

conservative, played not to loose but with EJ coaching the defense I can see their logic.

as much as it was that Nutt said "<17> it, we're riding McCluster til the kid can't go anymore." They didn't run anything out of the ordinary. They just kept tossing him the ball over and over again and letting him do his thing. I have to give the kid credit. He put on a show for about 10 minutes.

Weren't you guys moving the ball most effectively when the power went out in the press box? It was almost like the response was "screw it, give it to McCluster every play" - and, it worked.

I meant that as a serious question. Not a low blow. I like Bolden, and I love the way Eason runs. But, it seems the more touches McCluster gets, the better Ole Miss executes on offense. Get it into McClusters hands as much as possible and let Sneed toss it deep every now and again - there's your offense.

I do not think that you want to line him up at tailback like they did. I will say this when he lined up in the wild rebel he did not keep the ball many times. He did look like the best damn tailback they had. I know he got injured his Fr and So year so they may have not want to take the risk.

If you are State or OM and you have an NFL player, particularly a first rounder, at a position you will not simply replace him, especially on the OL.

Mississippi will miss the few players they lost a lot more than they ever dreamed they would. You just don't replace 2 1st round draft picks that easily.

He got injured once, his freshman year, and the injury lingered into his sophomore year. It wasn't a different injury. He survived last year fine. I wouldn't really say he's injury prone.

The offense doesn't have a shortage of playmakers so much as a shortage of time to consistently get the ball to the playmakers. That game went almost exactly as Spurrier wanted.
