I think you are being kind, that place is in full meltdown right now with maybe

Why is anyone even over on those boards? Why do we care what they think? This is about MSU.
Now, when they were running smack about how they had passed us by in baseball, it was funny. When we beat them head to head, I love to rub it in. When they get unceremoniously bounced from another regional, it's entertaining. But now....they aren't even a blip on the radar. I don't know why anyone cares what they think.
We get our panties in a bunch when they accuse us of being obsessed, but as soon as we win a game that they have nothing to do with, we run over to their boards to see what they are saying about it. Maybe some of it is entertaining to read, so that is okay. But we don't need threads dedicated to it.

I mostly agree but any time Ole Miss ***** the bed and we're on top I want them to know it. 99.99999999999% of me wants to win the title because of my infinite love of Mississippi State athletics. 0.000000000001% of me wants to win it so I can call all of the pricks I know who act as if 70% of Hall of Fame went to Ole Miss.

Yes, many of them are melting down. Us winning a NC will be hard for many of them to take, but it will be even harder for them to take when they realize that nobody gives a **** what they think about it. Our perceived obsession with them is the only thing they have left.
It's not obsession. It's pure hatrid. You'll never be able to separate the two schools regardless of anything you try to do.
The other is each school's bench mark. Is that healthy? Probably not. But you need to learn how to love your school and take shots when you can. Mississippi has so little to be proud of and both schools have horrible athletic departments for the most part. The only thing both can legitimately bank on each season is beating the other in something. Neither school competes for national titles or bowls that matter, so bragging rights for the victor in whatever sport for a year IS the biggest prize for us little guys.
As much as they say they aren't just as concerned about MSU as we are of them, you don't get that feeling of disgust that they're all complaining about from just anybody... And it's the reason I saw just as many "Hotty Toddy"s on twitter yesterday as Hail States. Did you see Alabama people tweeting off about how MSU sucks or any other school going at us like that?
Learn to enjoy it and how to go into hiding when they do something good. Part of the fun, at least for me.
