The one loss to Rider doesn't worry me as much as Kodi

going off in a post-game interview about playing time. He apparently was very vocal and critical of the staff. Hopefully he doesn't pout his way back to the dog house again.

He had 9 points in 11 minutes up thru the first 34 minutes of the game.

Why on earth was he benched so much? Yep, 2 fouls in the first half means for whatever reason a player must be benched for the rest of the half. But that doesnt come close to explaining how little he played in the first 34 minutes. He is a scorer and is a big man that helps take pressure off Jarvis.

Its not like his D was worse than Jarvis or any of the perimeter players.

that's ******** from a college player. Kodi - you aren't Lebron. I kick his *** off the team. He sounds like an immature punk in these quotes.

the bus or for a player to throw his coach under the bus? Stans deserved it though.

And to be honest, what did we do well tonight that was a result of the players being coached?

Well, like many so called "student athletes", he's not very intelligent. Character issues and lack of judgment combined with impressive athletic ability makes for a bitter sweet situation.

Your coach may absolutely suck, but that still doesn't give the players the right to call them out this way in public. I'm not surprised you are ok with it.

Either start playing him the minutes he thinks he deserves and lose the team and set a HORRIBLE example or say adios

Stans deserved it. When your boss screws up royally he deserves to be criticized...but you don't do it publically.

By the way, I'm not surprised you are ok with the loss.

I agree. He should be gone. It doesn't matter how pissed you are, you don't do that. I'm sick of his ****. We're better off without him if he's gonna be a ***** like that. That **** kills teams. I'm sure Lousiana-Monroe or Miss. Valley would love to have him, give him all the minutes he wants, and will kiss his and his dad's *** as much as they'd like. I didn't see the game, but I see he had four fouls. You think maybe that had something to do with your minutes being limited, Kodi? Nah, couldn't be. Its gotta be big, bad Stansbury having it out for you and not knowing his *** from a hole in the ground. That's clearly it, because your character, attitude, and actions are that of a model *$%%!#$ citizen. #!** him! I don't want him on my team.

The players don't criticize the coach. The players do what the coach says. The coach is the boss. It's not ok for the players to criticize the coach behind closed doors or out in public.

By the way, I'm not ok with the loss. It is disappointing and it stinks. We shouldn't have lost. I, however, am not going to gloat over the loss, bash Stansbury to no end, claim the season over, and the like. Instead, I'm going to state that the team needs to get things together soon, all the while actually waiting around to see if it happens.</p>

Go back to the numbers and compare Ravern's and Randy's shooting. Neither of them played worth a poop on defense yet they got plenty of minutes. Where is Stans benching Randy/Ravern for shooting like ****? Finally he removed Airvern after he whiffed on a horrible shot near the end of the game. Stans apparently has identified Airvern as his ***** for this season, I had wondered who would get that role.

People on here see two sides of Barry/Randy: Some see Barry, the senior who works hard, is usually in the right place on defense, tries hard, makes about 30-35% of his shots, gets some steals, and CAN make 4 three's in a row in a losing effort when we are down 18 with 3 minutes remaining, etc.....Others see Randy, who kills momentum with random dumbassed turnovers, shoots like hell when asked to create or shoot on the move, gets schooled by quicker guards, goes up weak to get rejected over and over and over like on the front page of the Starkville Daily News today for God's sake, and CAN'T make a single 3 with a game tied and 2 min remaining to save his life (credit thought for him actually showing up in the SEC tournament last year**). I happen to see more Randy.

This game reminded me of the first (at the hump) Olemiss game last year. Olemiss didn't have an answer for Kodi and he scored about 10-12 points in the first half and had an airheaded moment or two on defense and threw up one airball and blamo, gone for the rest of the game, a game in which Airry and Ravern shot like absolute ****. Loss. Similar pattern in the game this year. It is on Stans to work out his rotation, kick asses, do whatever behind the scenes to make it smooth. Kodi is a player. He should be in there with Jarvis. Jarvis needed help, especially in the second half. We looked lost. They had a couple of decent post players who wouldn't pick up their dribble and took it to skinny bones Varnado. Kodi could have helped. He knew it.

What is the rotation right now with no Bailey, no Reik, no Sidney, that makes it more difficult for Stans no doubt, but there should have been some solutions or zone options to protect Lewis? I guess we kind of tried that but Ravern and Randy got eaten up on the perimeter.

Sure it is just one loss, and yes, that was a pretty decent team, but it is the same ****** planning and conflict that we saw 1/3 of the way through the season (last year) that is eating our collective asses up right now.

Frustrating.

Kodi shouldn't speak out in the press confernences, but I see where he is coming from and happen to agree with him. The immediate answer is to start Turner in place of Ravern. Osby will probably have to play more 4 for the time being, until Sidney is cleared or Reik is cleared....especially if Kodi / Stans tell one another to suck it.

We could be so good with Bost, Turner and Varnardo. Those guys bring it every game. Sh*t.

I want a raise or I am going to call you out to the department..

/Stans will sit down with Kodi.
//Hey, Kodi it is the 1st game of the year... Have you not seen Stans teams in the past in non-conference!
