I'm asking everyone who claims Chris Petersen is a Scientologist to provide a published news article or any other documented evidence. The only place I can find any connection to Petersen's religious beliefs is on message boards.
Let's assume he did practice Scientology. Would that hinder him as a football coach at Mississippi State?
Steve Young might believe that Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon from some plates of Gold buried near his house at the request of the Angel Moroni, but that belief didn't prevent Steve Young from throwing a spiral.
As long as he's not bringing one of those e-meters to the practice facility to audit Chris Relf and the other quarterbacks, or forcing the team to watch Days of Thunder before every ballgame, I don't see anyone having a big objection with him.
