Week 8.
If we go to all-in playoffs, this would be the game teams would be jockeying for position for the post-season. Even the BRs and SFs of the state would still have hope (although I could just imagine the Crusaders losing big to sink MC's rank and the Spartans trying to avoid certain zip codes).

BR +5 Throw away the records when these 2 meet. On the road vs an unhappy team. One score game. Either way.

MC +7 as a Rita guy, I hate being the last MC fan on the board. But this Caravan team at home, getting points, I'm in.

LA +1 PC will have to make this an ugly game to have a chance. Play laterally, chew clock, false reads, throw second slant, second drags, LA is so disgustingly efficient and sound fundamentally, it's a pleasure and pain to watch

MA +6 home dog vs a team with an emotional win last week on the natural stuff.

Won't pick the SF game. Pack your bags Sparty

LA
Marmion
Fenwick so they can get in the playoffs and play Plainfield North (please?)
SL
Iggy
Hope
Joes (If they beat AC next week they're 5-4. I mean, good for them)

If MC loses to Montini and Providence, their season will be a larger failure than Rice's and that's saying something.

Wonder what the Rice mindset is. I said when they played MC that I thought the schedule would wear them out and against MC it looks like it is going that way as there is no way MC should have had a running clock against them based on talent alone. Loyola will throttle them on the 21st but this game is interesting as Rita's weapons should be containable at home.

Marmion by 4

Laurence by 17 ---wish it was at AC
Iggy by 7 - thought they would be negatively impacted by coaching change

Rita
Montini
Loyola
DLS
(and I was laughed at for saying they get that 5th, they can win out and go 7-2)
Fenwick
Laurence
Ignatius

Lastly Bishop Mac forfeits week 9, refuses to play Hope... Good luck in your new patsy conference with St. Francis and Aurora Christian.

Rita sees blood in the water. Might be a blowout.
MCHS (5-2) @ MC (4-3) [2017] Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL) 31, [2017] Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL) 24
There was a time when a cool October day in Gately was absolutely intimidating.
LA (6-1) @ PC (5-2) [2017] Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL) 22, [2017] Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL) 21
Jimmy Hugelet gets 12 tackles, but LA still gets the upset.

GREEN:

Gambletron has a glitch. Bronc-beating Cadets, at home, underdogs?
MCHS (5-2) @ MC (4-3) above
SF (1-6) @ F (4-3) [2017] Fenwick (Oak Park, IL) 35, [2017] St. Francis (Wheaton, IL) 6
Spartans can only play until their mommy calls them home, but Friars will have the clock running by then.

WHITE:
AC (4-3) @ SL (5-2) [2017] St. Laurence (Burbank, IL) 42, [2017] Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL) 20
I see the Iggles beating the spread, still coming up short.
BMac (2-5) @ SI (6-1) [2017] St. Ignatius (Chicago, IL) 26, [2017] Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL) 14
Wolves' defense is . . . pretty good.

RED:
Hope (5-2) @ TECH (2-5) [2017] Chicago Hope Academy (Chicago, IL) 42, [2017] DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL) 17
Wonder what would happen if a team refused to play at Hope in the playoffs?
Leo (1-6) @ SJ (3-4) [2017] St. Joseph (Westchester, IL) 21, [2017] Leo (Chicago, IL) 19
The Chargers need this game.
