It was one giant pity-party. 30 minutes into the Oscars, I wasn't sure who I was supposed to feel bad for.. Gays, women with black-eyes, alter boys, blacks, people who have money in banks..
Thought Chris Rock did a great job and made some great points, although the whole black issue dragged on far too long. There was simply no "12 years" or "Butler".. this year.
As for political views, you know what you're going to get from Hollywood and an awards show where they can flaunt there elitist minds for 45 seconds. I was basically there for the CR monologue and that was it. I don't agree with 99% of Hollywood, so I steer clear.. Plus it's an awards show, if I wanted to watch something that I can find out the results 10 minutes later, it'll be a sports draft, thank you very much.
