What happened to the back door cuts we were using in the 1st half? Why not draw something like that up, or let Dee drive to the hole. There was no need for a three.

Lack of any knowledge of basketball and what constitutes good coach does not stop the 17ing a**holes from posting crap like this.

you don't have to prove your knowledge or playing experience to be a part of it. if you don't like it, i am sure we wouldn't mind you deleting the account.

I guess Cal called a bad play on UK's last possession of regulation too (or did we just play fantastic defense in spite of Stansbury's poor coaching).<div>

Sure UK played good defense, but that's not an excuse for having to jack up a three. There is a difference in drawing up a play for 30 seconds vs. 3.8.

the game at the end of regulation, but decided to jack up a three instead of driving to the basket." Guess my logic makes some sense.

The game should have never gone to OT. To quote 8dog - he will never learn.

17.

Azzuri I like you most of the time but to blame this game or a crucial part of the game on Stans is horrible. I have been against Stans for a long time, but calling a TO isn't a bad idea. The refs were calling BS fouls everytime a ball got swatted away so he told Dee to drive and maybe we can draw a foul. Stans coached a good game.

I am talking about when we went up 7 with 3 minutes left.

Our next 3 possessions were all horrible and all dictated by the head coach. He tried to sit on the lead.

1st possession we ran that idiotic weave with no intention of getting an open look... until the clock put us in a bad position.

Next 2 possessions, we had 3 players stand in the corner of the half, behind the timeline... until the clock put us in a bad position.

Our offense was clicking up until that point. I am confident that if we would have gone down there on those 3 possessions and played like we had been playing, we would have come away with at least one basket.

I agree that Stans coached a good game up until that point. I saw a lot of things on offense that were really good. Our motion to the basket was excellent, some great back door cuts, Dee was money going to the rack, good passing, very few pull-up 3's. We looked good. However, at the 3 minute mark, we put a big pair of handcuffs on all of that productivity, played to their strengths and lost the game.
