Clemson named Dabo Swinney (played WR at Bama, WR coach, noted recruiting top gun) as interim. There is speculation Swinney 'could' get a good hard look as he is reputed to be an up-and-comer (think, Major Applewhite).

Speculation rampant in lower alabammer is that the lowdercruiser is on its way to Stillwater.

I love me some coaching carousel and rampant plane-tracking ********.

Stoops is making over 6 mil this year thanks to a "one time" bonus of 3 million. I just can't see Auburn competing with that, nor can I imagine why Stoops would leave a state he shares with Ok. St. to come and share one with Alabama.

Stillwater is Oklahoma State....Im assuming Gundy is the target for Auburn and not Stoops?

Also, what about Wake's Coach for the Clemson job? Just a thought....</p>

I still think Rich Rodriguez is a piece of **** for leaving his alma mater. I don't think many decent people would do it unless the money difference is absolutely staggering.

Agreed that Rodriguez leaving his alma mata was not classy, but watching WV this year, I can understand. He wanted to bolt a dying program. Yea, Michigan isnt that good, but alot easier to recruit and win a UM than WVU.

Look at Ferantz at Iowa and Schiano at Rutgers, both coaches who were hot for other jobs but stayed around at mid-level programs and are not squarely on the hot seat. They spoiled those fans by having great years, and were expected to win and win big every year, but its not possible at programs like that.

Fayetteville, AR Wasn't that what started all of the flight tracker scandal a couple years ago when the Auburn plane went to Louisville for the visit w/ Petrino? Coincidental I'm sure but still pretty good that this one comes from Petrino country to Auburn.
