The play that lost it for Bama

Was the interception by Eric Reid on the one yard line. Well, that's obvious right? The reason why though is because they could have easily scored a wide open touchdown on that play if the other bama receiver would have cut left instead of right. Literally nobody was covering that tight end until Reid ran by him while covering his receiver. How does bama screw that up?

Btw, Im glad they did-I hate Alabama

you can't just say I'm gonna cut left because I want to... having said that, I don't know what the route combination was either.. honestly that's one of those plays where if it's not wide *** open then you just throw it out of the end zone.. he actually was open but the LSU defender made a great play and it was a shade underthrown too

Was the intent to cross shallow to keep the LB's and S occupied ? Did he cross too deep or was he supposed to be in the area at all.

Regardless Reid made a heck of a play by choosing in a split second to leave his man and take the deeper guy and then made an incredible play on the ball.

They ended up getting a 3 and out there inside the 10... the play that cost them the game was putting Maze back to return the punt after that 3 and out... dude could barely walk. Put someone back there that just catches the ball and they've got the ball around the 45 instead of the 20ish...

like all trick plays: if it works the coach is a genius; if it fails the coach is an idiot

Bama also scores if the QB leads the receiver away from the DB. He had bad placement on that pass.

If there's one thing I don't like about the wildcat, it's that you're almost always putting a guy at the QB spot that is not a great passer.

Honestly, a guy like Bumphis is about as good as you can hope for throwing the ball out of the wildcat. And I don't think anyone wants him starting as our QB.

Usually, you see a pass that looks like the one that Maze threw up for grabs.

If anything, I thought Bama passed too much in the redzone. Give it to your Heisman contender or your big back in Lacy and let them do their thing.

awarded them over the years, but IMO that was a catch by the receiver, not an interception. The receiver had possession of the ball all the way until he hit the ground. The LSU DB ripped the ball away as the receiver hit the ground and rolled. Bang bang play, but I thought it was a catch. I was shocked that the ref called it differently.
