according one media outlet, Nkemdiche may take an official to UF.

Someone needs to see of there are any job openings for unlicensed research physicians at Shands.

Like many have said before, Ole Miss is his fall-back if he can't get whatever it is he's looking for from these other places. If he signs with them, Freeze may as well start calling him Mr. Kimdeechee.

like clockwork, Yancy fires out another Will Redmond rumor...

It doesn't take much to keep his flock in line.

Rumors or not, I still think ole miss gets all of their top targets.

boggles my mind how they can get so many 4/5* kids to even consider them, but somehow they're regular ******* magicians at recruiting these days.

Doesn't take a brain surgeon to see how. Freeze takes the Orgeron approach and offers everybody in America. He gets a few hits, but this year, due to the luck of the #1 recruit having a tie there, he's got in on a few more big fish. That combined with guys like Treadwell not being pursued heavily by the big boys. If Florida or Alabama really wanted him, he wouldn't be going to Ole Miss.

Plus, I think Freeze is a pretty good recruiter and they know how to manipulate the media.

I never said it was a bad thing. I am curious what type of attitude he adopts when he gets to Oxford. Will he show the respect needed? Probably, but you never know with a guy like that.....he'll be a rock star there.

I dont think anyone gets all of their top targets. With that said, both Sandifer in 2012 and Denzel N in 2011 were post-signing day spot fillersfor the Bears. These two guys are a significant reason the Bears are in the running for Treadwell and Rober N, respectively. May work out for them, may not. I dont know a damn thing about Sandifer, but taking a flyer on Denzel to get in the game with Robert has already paid off for them on the field.

you guys are a hoot. i esp like the post in this thread about ole miss starting rumors! pot meet kettle. geez i guess you can make this stuff up!!! as far as yancy and redmond rumors...seems to me his requesting a waiver on the transfer rule might give some credence to the "rumor". i know..never happened...3, 2, 1. i love the pack

Yancy Porter - Recruiting season 2010....

Please remember that at this time of the year there is a lot of misinformation (even from myself), so please don't believe everything you read. - Yancy Porter

So, just so im clear random media outlets reporting players visiting other SEC..

schools is now encouraged by SPS?

I would think that Brandon Speck will be able to come out of hiding.

Agree that the #1 recruit having a tie to OM is helpful. Also helps that Treadwell has a friend and former teammate in Oxford. Highly doubtful that OM would land either player if not for Denzel N and Sandifer.

You'll probably disagree, but the "Orgeron approach" to recruiting as you call it could also be construed as working really hard at recruiting and beating other schools to the punch.

"Treadwell not being pursued heavily by the big boys" is off base. Since when are Michigan and Oklahoma not big boys? Everybody thought Treadwell was a lock to Michigan during the summer months. But he cooled on them for whatever reason. Also OK St. finished the 2011 season ranked #3.... so while they're not a traditional "big boy" they have been good recently.

"If Florida or Alabama really wanted him"...... both of those schools recruit lights out, but many would argue that AL under Saban and FL under Muschamp are not the best places for top notch wide receivers. Both use conservative, run first offenses. I must admit that Julio Jones was a physical freak at AL and Amari Coooper looks really, really good so far.

I think you're spot on about the Rebs knowing how to manipulate the media. Yup, if there's any school that the media promotes, protects, favors, is manipulated by, whatever it's Ole Miss.

It was actually one of the regional recruiting analysts for the 24/7 network. Does that legitimize the statement any more in your mind?

Didn't know that about this Sandifer guy. Makes sense then. Also, when I say Orgeron approach, I mean they are working it nationally. Mullen takes the same approach but recruits nearby, look at Chris Jones, we beat everyone to the punch, and now we're reaping the rewards.

I can’t wait for recruiting to be over just so I don’t have to hear about it on here every time this guy scratches his ***.

I have no clue, according to the site it says, "Sources indicate that he may take a visit"

That is roughly the same as Yancy saying, "Sources indicate that Will Redmond is going to transfer".

Its just funny how depending on what the "Sources" say, actually makes it legitimate. If good news for MSU - then hell yeah, those damn sources got it right. If bad news for MSU - screw that crap spewing Ole Miss homer garbage.

I have no idea if RK visits Florida this weekend. I would rather he visit there than LSU, Clemson, Bama and Georgia. As long as he comes to visit OM next weekend, I don't care.

Exactly,

My Rebel buddy sent me about these just about a year ago ...

<yancyporter> Folks, please remember this, I am a Johnny Rebel at heart and will put up some info sometimes just to throw a curve ball to the competition. I did it before and I am about to do it again. I will explain why later but you can rest assure it is to mess up you know who:)
<yancyporter> Mullen reads my tidbits like I read the daily stock report. He never misses one. That's why I like to throw him an ole curveball every now and then like Chuck use to do to my boy Jackie!

<yancyporter> We also hear that Auburn is coming back in the picture for Beniquez Brown and he has been giving some thought about going there this weekend and maybe that is why he has cooled on the Rebels as of late?

<yancyporter> Speaking of Auburn, it looks like they have been working behind the scenes for Quay Evans, and if he does not get enrolled into MSU this month, that could open the door for competing schools.

You got a source for Redmond requesting a waiver? One that doesn't admit that he puts out misinformation.

You're reaching. The difference is a legit recruiting analyst putting out information vs. some beat writer throwing out rumors. Quit getting so butt-hurt, you're another formerly DECENT rebel poster who now has been relegated to a whiny *****.

How is Ole Miss a "fallback"?

That would imply that he doesn't have offers elsewhere, which is just stupid. Then again, this comes from the same person who repeatedly claims that Treadwell doesn't have many options, despite the entire Big 10 and Big 12 having offered him.

But once again, thanks for the updates. Saves me 10 bucks a month.

I heard Kimdeechy is in talks with the New Orleans Saints. That way when he picks OM, the Rebels can claim superiority over the NFL.

You do realize that the beat writer was citing a reporter for a news station...

When does someone become a "legit recruiting analyst".

Who do you consider to be legit recruiting analysts? I would like a list so that I can trust their information as opposed to those BS beat writers who throw **** up against the wall only to see what sticks.

So a CL reporter repeating what has said by a TV sports reporter is throwing out rumors?

Anyway, I really want to hear what Goat thinks makes someone a legit recruiting analyst. This should be fun. Please go ahead, and I will try and not be butt-hurt by your response.

There are unconfirmed rumors per sources that Redmond has requested a waiver...

the same sources have unconfirmed rumors of Nkedmiche recruiting for LSU.

all a beat writer has to do is check with compliance...and Redmond is denying to everyone that talks to him

Standifer was playing as a 4th CB earlier in the year until he was injured and ruled out for the season. I think they will attempt to get a medical redshirt. If I remember correctly it was his MCL.
