I don't think they can afford to both buyout nurts AND hire a Malzahn. And any move they try to make at this point will include Boone in the hire decision. I don't see any negative outcome if you hate the bearz.

If we are paying Mullins $2.5 million +, they will come up with at least that much.

Don't worry about Malzahn, though. I think he will get much better offers.

They changed to a 3-4 defense, so they don't have problems changing philosophies. They've been NFL style for a long time, and I can see them going after Malzahn to shake things up and energize the fan base.

And to your point on OM, you are right. Nutt being fired is great. That means they are sucking badly enough to have to do it. That's a positive for MSU. After all the new numbers rules placed on recruitingin the SEC because of Houston Nutt, it amazes me that he doesn't have enough players to score onor stop evenVanderbilt.

With the shitstorm that is the bearz, I think even mullens can win the in-state recruiting battle. Maybe.

Mullen and the staff have got to take advantage of the turmoil that is about to seize Oxford and pull in some of Ole Miss' targets.</p>
