But if you really want it to succeed you're going to have to support it through the tough times. Everyone wants to change, change QB's (didn't work), change coaches (hasn't worked out well in the past, with the exception of Brooks' rise to mediocrity - which I agree would be better than what it is now), change AD's (we've had the same results with multiple AD's).
The bottom line is complaining doesn't show passion, it just shows frustration. If people really want long term change for the program then you're going to have to give someone time to build it from the bottom up. No quick fixes (Mumme) they don't last. Brooks had the right idea and it took him four years to get out of the bottom. His problem was age and the fact that he never believed UK could compete for SEC caliber players, so he topped out. We have a guy that believes in the possiblities of the program, a guy that recruits, a guy that has taken us from 2 wins to 5 wins in 3 seasons. Yes, the rise is slower than we'd like, but it's still there. None of us have any idea if Stoops is going to be the guy or not, but if you really want change then you're going to have to give someone the time to make it happen and he shows as much promise as anyone else has in 3 years at UK.
