The Rebbies 5-0 start is looking more and more like 2-3.

And it erupted into an all out email war between about 10 people. I told him and a few other delusionals that they would start 2-3, but I was giving them a win against Jacksonville State. So after tonight, it's looking more like 2-3. Fresno State is much better than a Tulane. Vandy has a much improved defense and they held LSU pretty much all night. They just need to quit being stupid and turning it over. Kentucky is probably the best of their first5 opponents. They will be lucky to start 2-3. That defense has taken on the title that their transfer QB had before getting dismissed in Oregon, SUSPECT..... Maybe they should have chosen that as their new mascot.

Dont get me wrong, I'd love to see them 2-3, but 3-2 or 4-1 is more likely.

They'll beat Vandy. Then I think they'll split between UK and Fresno.

I thought they were going to be horrible this year, but they've looked much better than I expected early on. I'm definitely not picking them to beat UM next week, but I think it'll be close.

if Vandy can score or not. Their offense just is constantly out of sync. They may be able to against Ole Miss, though.

realize how horrible Tulane is?? Strat? UM looked about even with Tulane throughout the game and Tulane was shoving them around. Vandy, if not for a couple plays (fumbled kickoff, missed pitch) plays LSU tough to the end. Vandy is by far better and 2-3 is the best they start off their first 5...

Vandy always plays OM close, even when there's a large disparity between the teams.

Vandy looked much, much better than I expected.

Fresno isn't a completely pushover and neither is KY.

I put the over/under at 1 win over the next 3 games.

In what way? I thought they looked god awful. I think they had 70 something yards passing, and less than that on the ground.

the rebel OL is B-A-D. Rishaw, their best ol according to them supposedly got booted for illegal activities, but actually it was just because he was an unbearable pain in the ***. For some reason, Sowell was playing righttackle when I was watching and was still getting beaten. I guess they moved Massie to left tackle, maybe b/c Sowell was sucking.I expected theirDto be O.K., but even that looks weak. Masoli throws a good deep ball, but that is about all I saw from them. At the end of the game, Nix looked like the weight of the world was off his shoulders, butNutt had that look like "I bought myself 6 days of relative peace, but it is inevitable that I am 17ed". I imagine there will be a spending spree on olinemen this offseason.

if they didn't have Masoli, it would be almost sure 2-3.

He keeps that from happening.

Just like if Newton isn't on the field for Auburn, State wins.

Masoli = savior.

Nutt is no idiot, he knew what it would be like. That's why he has done what he has done, reputation and PR be damned.

Maybe Fresno or Kentucky can beat them but being in Oxford it will be difficult. If they go 3-2 or worse, I can't see them winning more than 6 and that probably comes down to the MSU game. Masoli is the key. Little wonder why the rebs brought the thug in but he can make plays. The rebs secondary loks bad but they really don't play many passing teams. If Masoli should go down, they will be in deep trouble but we all know they are the luckiest s.o.b.'s in the country.

...I kept asking when was the last time Ole Miss started a season 5-0, & never got an answer.

I was not going to look it up myself, but even the good Ole Miss teams never start a season 5-0.

And this is not one of those good Ole Miss teams.

What I am eager to see is how Masoli reacts to SEC speed.

He seldom went against SEC speed in the PAC-10.

SEC defenses are going to compensate for his running threat, & knock the **** out of him accordingly.

But they're playing pretty decent defense, which is something I didn't expect. I thought this would be one of the worst Vandy teams ever, but so far they don't really look any worse than they usually do.
