To me... The offense PI was the only questionable call and I think it was made based on the receiver pushing off our guy. I also love how the commentator kept saying that the flag didn't come out till the goal line when the side judge was clearly pulling it out of his back pocket at the point of the catch.

I stopped watching after the first play. That's about as obvious of a holding call by a lineman that you'll see.

They should have been called for PI on Gabe Myles on our first play from scrimmage. Even senile Verne saw that and said so.

Arm around the head...legit holding call
arm extension creating separation...legit interference call
last call...I could have gone either way, but bad opinions by the announcers doesn't make it legit criticism

their left tackle got away with about 3 really bad holding calls from what I saw. im sure there were others. that said, sec refs are awful and the conference deserves better. normally, its us getting hosed on calls. i like the view from the top of the mountain....its nice.

Maybe I can link this on my phone.

So I haven't rewatched the game, but speaking of poor officiating, what was the deal with that 1st down/2nd down play on the drive we scored a field goal on? Watching at the game, it looked like we had it 2nd and short, ran a play for two yards, got the first down, then Gus complained, and it became 2nd and 8 instead of first and 10? It didn't end up making a difference, but at least from what I could see live, that appeared to be some of the worst officiating I've seen and completely changed that series.

I thought the play before was the first down and the chains didn't get moved until after the first down play...pretty sure they were right on that one.

Could well be, but from the chains I could see on the Auburn sideline, it looked like they spotted them short and had marked it second down. Seemed they had problems with the chain crew throughout.

Well still probably cost us less than 200k. Besides the 1st one that was obvious (why they would include that one) other two could have gone either way.

Excuses are for the losing team. Auburn didn't score TD's in the red zone and we did, and we got the crucial turnovers. End of story.

By rule everyone of those calls were right.

Maybe I can link this on my phone.

The holding call should have actually been hands to the face on Preston because the OL hands were all over his face mask.

The offensive pass interference was the right call because Coates extended his arm to get separation from Calhoun. Also people talking about how late the flag was if you watch the replay the ref tried to get his flag out as soon as it happened but couldn't get it out of his pocket.

To to me only call that probably should have been a no call was the defensive pass interference call on Wilson but both coaches were bitching about pass interference especially malzhan that he got what he asked for. Just wrong team.

All of the calls were legitimate.

The first one was a pretty blatant hold by 72.

The offensive PI call is correct because the receiver gained an advantage with the push-off. It wasn't much but it created separation. That will get called every time.

The last PI call is also an obvious call. The receiver had a hold of Wilson's arm while the ball was in the air. It should've been a defensive holding call before that, too....the guy had his hands on Wilson the whole route.

Hey Barners, if you're going to cry about the refs and put a video on youtube to prove it, you should at least make sure the video actually supports your position.

It was ridiculous how ofter Auburn had players (often more than one on the same play) lined up in the neutral zone.
I don't know what the line judge was watching, but it inexcusable that it was never called.

^^^^ This will forever live in the anals of history as the "Auburn first down." It was CLEAR even on the jumbotron it wasn't a first down... the crowd was silent until the referee announced first down. Unbelievable call.

Well we got screwed on the first play of the game to kill our opening drive.

Also, what was with the Malzahn "conferences" where Malzahn was somehow able to stop the clock for about 5 minutes to discuss calls with the officials?

And while I don't agree with Saban about the hurry up killing football; Auburn's tendency to wait for the defense to get set to make substitutions is just doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the game.

When I went back and watched it, the receiver gained separation (albeit, not much... but enough needed) by extending his arm. Calhoun wasn't beat because he was on his hip pocket, separation happened, catch was made, and Calhoun closed the distance after the catch and made the tackle. It was ticky tack... and I might be a little pissed if that was us, but there was justification there for the call and the official made the call.

The other calls were completely and totally correct. Don't know why you'd ***** about those?

Let them bitches whine. As John Correro said in 1999 at the end of the Auburn game, "Who gives a flip?"
