Heard this from a good source tonight.. He is focused on this coming year and making the NBA. Lucas made him come in early and run for an hour before practice every day earlier this summer.. Look for a big improvement in attitude, conditioning, and his presence on the block, especially defense.

appears to have been 250. Official roster weight was 270. How much are you thinking he weighed at the end of last season?

If he has lost 20 so far, 40 to 50 is reachable before the season. I seriously doubt they measured that he lost 20 lbs and said, "well we are where we want to be, let's hit the buffet and celebrate big guy".

Ya'll dumb 17'ers. If he is working out muscle weighs more than fat so its very possible he's only losts 20 lbs and put on 10 to 15 pounds of muscle in the process and in a lot better shape.

I do think it is fair to question his weight loss since a pound of muscle gain has not actually occurred in the Stansbury era. Not one pound.

have just started working out but are not losing a lot of weight. You gain muscle, much much slower than you lose fat. Anyone using that excuse is full of **** PERIOD end of story.

how long will it take him to be in "playing shape" this time? He had a whole season to do it last year and never did. I'm putting the over/under at ten games this year.

... in order to display his true talents.

If he has lost 20 lbs, nobody in the league will be able to handle him.

nobody can stop RSS but RSS can't stop anyone on defense so if he can shovel 5 gallons of water out the boat every minute and the boat takes on 6 gallons of water every minute, will the boat sink or float?

If you take out 6 gallons every minute and the boat is only taking 5 gallons then the boat stays dry and stays afloat.

That is great. Hope he stays with it and losses 30 more. Didn't Stans say that Sidney gained 10lbs over thanksgiving alone last year.

...he put on far more than 20 lbs. Doesn't look like 20 lbs difference to me. I think he weighed well over 300 lbs.

Renardo has a round face. He could be rail thin and his face would still look fatter than it should. I don't think he looks fat in the picture below....

If history shows us anything, it's that the strength and conditioning coach is great at helping players lose weight. Ravern and Jarvis are two great examples of this. They were here for four years and never gained any weight, in fact they lost weight. No matter how hard they tried to get bigger, the S&C coach would not let them. He was on them night and day, working them out in the weight room non stop, and keeping them on a steady diet of water and rice cakes. I predict that by the end of The RSS time here he will be down to a buff 175. Just trust our S&C program. There's nothing to worry about.**

Here's a picture that probably better reflects the 250 weight.

Arrives on campus in the fall of '09 at 270. Maxes out at 312 in the summer of '10. Loses about 20 lbs between then and March of '11. Personally, I'd take him being back at 270 and be happy.
