us throwing Holder is to their advantage. I don't care how great their degrees are (not convinced half of them even went there), at some point they've lost it. Dumbest fan base I've ever witnessed.

Yeah. Us throwing a 2-time All-American closer and one of the 5 finalist for the Stopper award is to their advantage. They haven't been able to hit anything off of us this weekend, yet somehow adding 8 mph to the same pitch that's giving them problems will somehow make it better...

ETA: No, I don't care what they have to say, but Starkville is a lonely place in the summer. I need something to occupy my time.

Hard to blame them for their ignorance

They're just relieved that Chad Girodo (who one poster referred to as Cy Young) is no longer pitching - since he was killing them.

For most teams, it's probably hard to fathom that as good as Mitchell and Griodo were, that Holder is better.

From what I can tell, they're in a tough spot, I see many of them trying to reason out if they bring back a guy that threw 44 yesterday.

I'm sure they thought us going to Ross Saturday and girodo Sunday was to their advantage too.

It's simple math, really. We have three more half innings of at bats, they have two. And we are spotted a two run lead. And we have a full, rested bullpen. It' doesn't mean we'll win, but the odds are definitely in our favor.

I hadn't even thought of it that way.

I was right there with their fans as one of the 234987234 people who thought the ACC was the best league this year, so maybe that has something to do with their fans' noses being in the air. I would just like to think that as a fan base regularly regarded as the best in baseball and "knowledgeable" as shotty CSS and ESPN 3 color analysts have said 3,000 times a game/average this season, we would not be over here counting our chickens if we were in the same situation as they currently are.

Maybe that's just me.

They should hand your facts to their world renowned math and computer science departments, have them plug your facts into their empire of cutting edge computing horsepower and get back with us on the results. I assume the printout will read "uva is 17'ed" in binary code.

That being said, I really don't want a third game. My gut tells me binary code reads differently there.

Well

to be fair, they MAY have an easier time hitting his fastball compared to anything Girodo throws.
