big event in junior golf nationally. Tons of college coaches scouting talent. WVU's coach was scheduled to come down but had a conflict. But a little story about what kind of person Stallings is. Yesterday, about 100 kids played in the open qualifier to get into the event. 10 make it. There was a 7 way tie for the last 6 spots with those kids each shooting 1 under 71. Imagine that, junior golfers playing a 7000 yard course and it takes 71 to crack the top 10. Times have changed. But I digress. There is a 7 man playoff starting at #1 and one kid makes double and is eliminated and the playoff is over. Scott is watching and walks up to each of the 6 qualifiers and shakes their hands and offers congrats. The kid who didn't make it was pretty upset with himself and took off toward the parking lot. Scott saw this and took off running up the fairway, caught up to the kid a couple hundred yards away, put his arm around him and talked to him for a few minutes. Pretty moving to watch. Class act.
