The SEC needs a union.

Not that I am a fan of unions, but DAMN. I think enough of the coaches (everyone minus LSU, Fla, and AL) could team up for some representation. Collective bargaining, if you will. If they don't start calling plays correctly, the teams could organize a big FU strike and refuse to play against whoever the SEC office is pushing for #1 in the country. Maybe I am a contrarian, I don't know. But I would say FU in a heartbeat to a league that treats you like a $2 *****.

Therefore we're the ones taken it in the tail pipe. Whereas the SEC needs FL, AL, GA, LSU, and TN to have that national prominence. I agree though that the butt 17 has been taken to a whole new level and will only be highlighted more under the new ESPN package.

Only problem is we need them more than they need us.

They need us too. It would be tough to justify a conference championship if 3/4 of the conference refused to play the Fla's and Al's b/c of the inevitable screwjob.

I know it will never happen, but just imagine for a second if ESPN were in Gainesville, the Swamp was full, and one of the conference teams absolutely refused to take the field against Florida until Slive made changes to the replay officials. Now imagine this happening 3, 4 weeks in a row. One begins to imagine that pressure would build for something to change.

A guy can dream, right?
