The SEC only gets 4 regional hosts?

Upon a little research, the following was revealed:

2004: 5 hosts (9 teams in)
2005: 4 hosts (9 teams in)
2006: 5 hosts (8 teams in)
2007: 4 hosts (5 teams in)
2008: 2 hosts (9 teams in)
2009: 3 hosts (8 teams in)
2010: 4 hosts (8 teams in)
2011: 3 hosts (7 teams in)

So, there is actually a precedence of the SEC getting 5 hosts, albeit most recently 6 seasons ago.

They've ended the season poorly and our momentum is turning heads right now. Plus, you know there has to be some discussion about the revenue benefits we bring to the table. If it comes down to us and UK for a 4th SEC spot, I don't think 1 or 2 RPI spots will make a difference. We beat them tomorrow we will have beaten them 4 times in 2 weeks, we will have 6 consecutive wins over top 25 teams, 13-5 record over our last 18 games, and we have previous attendance records that help bolster what we can bring to the table. I think the committee will really have to consider that when deciding a 4th SEC host. </p>

Don't need to give the committee any doubt and this is without doubt a must-win to host

does make for some conjecture.......Now, with that being said, I fully expect Graveman to start but I have a feeling that if he struggles just a bit (be it performance or health), then he will get the hook early........

There are a lot of politics involved with the baseball selection. Personally, I think the SEC deserves five bids and really should get no less than nine teams in. But the NCAA wants to try to spread it around, and they don't like the SEC dominating the sport. We've got to make sure that Indiana Tech has some fun too.

he said that he may change his mind depending on Graveman's bullpen session before the game. Said if he didn't like what he saw he was going to make the switch then.Having Graveman for a regional is way more important than having him for a Thursday morning conference tournament game and Cohen knows that. If Graveman or Cohenare even the least bit concerned about the groin, they need to sit him and start Mitchell or Pollo.

I understand you want to win and keep momentum, especially with a young team, but I would much rather lose the next two games and go into a regional with Graveman restedthan trying tokeep momentum going and risk losing Graveman tomorrow just for a Thursday conference tournament win.
