You are exactly what is wrong with our athletic program. Exactly what is wrong with it. This is why I am hopeful that Greg Byrne doesn't listen to any of you people with your loser mentality and gets rid of Croom. We need to be realistic? In my opinion we are the most realistic fanbase in the entire SEC. We don't want, needm expect to go to Atlanta every year. All the majority of State fans want is to win 7 games and go to the friggin Meineke Cr Care Bowl...that's it. The problem with many of you is that you have been around this program too long. Well my first year at State was 1998. We all know the type of success and hype we experienced during that time. Well I don't know about you folks but that was an incredible time and an incredible feeling that I would love to experience again...Croom is not the man to do this. The other problem with many people on this board is that you've never played a single sport in your entire life, Gene Swindoll is one of these people. He has no business moderating a sports message board.

Now that post has a great deal of rambling in it but my ultimate point is this; I'm disgusted with our entire athletic program, our apologist fan base, you should be ashamed of yourselves, and finally I'm most disgusted by our HC of our football program. It may be the biggest joke in the SEC that he won't fire McCorvey. We'll see if Croom is a man of his word after this season. He's going to be given the chance to replace his staff or leave. We'll see if he sticks to his word that he'll never fire any of them.

A couple posters seem to think Croom is a good HC, just not OC. Which makes no sense, because his biggest dumb decisions have been HC ones, like punting from the 30, etc.

By the way, when you have been around the program long enough that you have contributed enough in money and time and blood and sweat and tears, you will have the right to say something to those of us who have "been around this program too long".

Where does all of this blood, sweat, & tears come from. I am fat, so I do sweat, that is a given; I am somewhat emotional, the National Anthem gets me everytime; I have blood.

BUT, it is a game, & a mult-million dollar aspect of our athletic department, headed by a man that makes 1.7 million a year, in year 5 of his tenure, & where I come from 'W's' are all that matter, & we ain't gettin' too many 'W's' w/ this man at the helm.
