The silver lining to Big 12 angst

WVU is NOT a bad team. Just barely not good enough to win in the Big 12.

If WVU had scored 32 more points in 5 of the 6 losses then the Mountaineers would be 6-1 and in first place instead of 1-6. Their average loss was by 5.2 points in the 5 defeats.

WVU leads the nation in close defeats.

That’s nothing to be ashamed of. It just means that they need to play every game the way they did against TCU, when they won by 9. Just a little better performance and they're on their way up the standings.

They need to not be as down on themselves as the fans are on them. The individual talent is there. But they have to work as a team, as they did against TCU. If they do, there’s no limit to the upside.

Starting at Texas Tech, which is winless at 0-7 in the Big 12, at 7 pm Wednesday, Jan. 25. It is crucial that WVU beats the Red Raiders to begin the Resurrection!

That’s followed by #16 Auburn at WVU, but doesn’t affect its Big 12 standings.

Then comes TCU again, which WVU has shown it CAN beat, 9 pm Tuesday, Jan. 31. And Oklahoma, Iowa State, Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech again, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Iowa State and Kansas State.

9 more points against Texas, 2 more against Oklahoma, 6 more against Baylor, 8 more against Oklahoma State and 7 more against Kansas State and WVU would be ready for March Madness. That’s only a 32-point improvement spread over 5 games.

That's not nearly as tough a task as my coal miner father surviving TWO cave-ins, including one that required rescuers to dig through FOUR FEET of coal before they got to any part of his body. After 18 months of hospitals and doctors, he RETURNED to work in the mines till his Social Security retirement age.

Do NOT give up hope, guys. I haven’t.

You are SO close to making an impressive run. You have the individual talent.
Replace incessant dribbling with not-careless passing, reduce the mountain of turnovers, and you CAN climb up the mountain.

Not to the top, but enough to get a decent seeding in March Madness. Then it’s only 6 straight W’s to the national title!

Let’s do it!

Ship has sunk CFE. Losing to overrated Texas without their head coach is the final proverbial nail in the coffin.

Personal insults are ALWAYS the tactic of someone who knows he's on the wrong side of a debate. When facts are again them, they try to deflect attention from THEIR inadequacies.

Renown physiciatrists say:

people are mean to others in order to feel better about themselves.

degrading others can have a positive impact on self-esteem and feelings of positivity

being insulted made people more likely to demean others.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
- - Jesus as quoted in John 8:7 of the Bible

No it's because you are the forum's useful idiot.
Shall we begin a thread to elucidate the "Useless Morons" we have constantly babbling on this site?
So many of these would not recognize a meaningful, useful fact even if it were written and read by slowly sounding out each word from multiple posts on successive days.

The OP of the thread is a cut and paste pro. Editing stories and never giving credit to the ones who wrote the original content.

I know you're not a writer. Anyone can read and see that. A first grader could read your **** and see you cut and pasted majority of it.
