The players bring it on themselves. I personally have never added a recruit as a friend on facebook or twitter, but if the recruit accepts a complete stranger, what do they honestly think will happen?

If you don't take those 2 measures, then whatever happens to you on facebook is your own damn fault. It's really that easy.

First off, anyone who has a high school kid on their facebook that they don't actually know is a toolbag. If they then proceed to hound these people and post on their walls... well that's just sad and more than a little creepy. I'm not sure whether I pity or hate them more. I regret their existance. That being said, these prospects bring it on themselves by allowing complete strangers to "friend" them on Facebook. Keep your **** private and none of this stuff will happen. I understand you want attention, you want the recognition. But do you really want to invite all these crazy %++*% that honestly have no lives of their own worth mentioning access to you on any level beyond a seat in the stands?

This whole thing is out of control. The people guiding these prospects need to get in their ear and get them to shut it down. Keep it private. Keep the wackjobs at bay.
