The NIL collective needs to inform the cigars that they are sitting on their funds until the university gets serious about winning. If it comes to it, they need to follow through as well. Hopefully the collective isn't headed by the cigars...

Honestly in the current pay to win environment, the best strategy for us to compete will be to build our nil funds for 2-3 years then go on a spending spree for 2-3 years. The nil and university have to be in on the plan. We need to do the same with the coaching staff. Have a cheap trash staff that we can fire before we start really spending nil money, then go all out on a big name hire.

We don’t have the funds to compete year in and year out. And college sports is transitioning to 100% pay to win whether we like it or not. If our nil is last in the SEC and we try to spend all we’ve got every year, we’ll never get out of bottom 3 or 4 teams regardless of coaching staff.
