The State of the Pack [/b]

Well…well…it has been 8 short years since that infamous day at George Street…a day that will live in infamy in the anals of MSU athletics. As I reflect back over the 8 years, it is important to look deeper at the significance of the number 8 as it relates to the 6 pack. Think about it, 8 is 2^3rd power…and 2 x 3 is 6. Also…when people used to refer to the 8th wonder of the world….they referred to a sporting arena (the now defunct and destroyed Astrodome). Enough of that….As I reflect on that state of the pack…I think we should take this time to point out 8 great things the Pack is at least partially responsible for over the past 8 years. So here goes….
- You no longer have to feel like a terd for calling out your own university’s (or its leaders’ shortcomings. Prior to the pack, it was blasphemy to dare call out our great university on anything. It didn’t matter if LT sold a home game to Florida or if Chuck Lee sounded like a babbling clown giving a speech. We now hold our leaders and university to a higher standard and they know that when they do stupid *** ****, the wrath of the Pack is something they must consider (and if Stricklin moves another game to Thursday, his *** is gonna start getting some LT comparisons). And no….Extremedog is still a douche for his Stansbury fetish. 
- No doubt, the Pack had a major hand in the LT overthrow. Yes, the General did the deed, but had it not been for the Pack, the silent majority never would have spoken up.
- No longer can a beat writer go unchecked in covering MSU. I knew the 6-Pack had influence when Rusty Hampton wanted to meet with us. 
- Creating “The Ninja”…enuff said…..
- This is a great thing that is no-longer, but the creation of the “Friday Fourplay” will forever be one of the best message board series in the history of message boards. If you don’t know what it is….find it. 
- Making the Bulldawg world realize what a douche Gene really is……
- I know this is a stretch..but I don’t think we would have ever gotten the cowbell back without the Pack..because of the Pack, Sticklin knew we had his back and grew the balls to get it done!
- Last, but not least…for creating a vehicle to finance Dawgstudent’s lavish lifestyle. Without his royalty checks each month, he would likely need 3 jobs to support his various vices. Because if this….he can live that “Lifestyle” that he
so enjoys. Feel free to add your own. Hey Cuzdawg, I am still waiting on that keg party for getting 1,000 members (or whatever that number was). Until next year…….Squintdawg

the 1941 story long predates the SixPack. I heard about it several times in the 1990s.<div>

Several instances come to mind: <div>
</div><div>1. The infamous "Mississipi State" on the banner thatadorned theback of the Mize-zilla-tron at Dudy Noble. Pictures went up and someone from the Pack pointed out the typo. The next morning, the banner was gone. </div><div>
</div><div>2. The upside-down Ss on the back of the new video board at DWS. If I remember correctly, that was first pointed out on this board. Within a day or two, the Ss were fixed. </div><div>
</div><div>3. UA Athletics can't spell Mississippi, either (I don't remember if that broke here or not)</div>
