Maybe get rid of the all time wins streak. How about some of the nattys? How about out streak of no probation? I want it all. You guys can settle for the ugly girls, I'll go for the gold. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Proof defense more important than shooters...how many 3s did Davidson hit...who limited chances, rebounded, caused turnovers. Who won...

I’m actually pessimistic at times and yet I’m more impressed that we A) still won and B) still managed to score 78 points. If you look at it with a glass half full point of view, that’s unbelievable! I’ll take a win over the streak any day. Especially in the NCAA tournament.

It sucks to think that it is over, but that elephant is out of the room now. I just hope we can average it out against our next opponents.

Cal "this is my 2nd or 3rd best 3 point shooting team I have had here at Kentucky".......................

Today it was all about pounding the ball inside. That's what we did. That's why we won. I have seen many a team lose trying to jack up 3s when they had such an inside advantage and didn't exploit it. Give Cal credit to keep them going inside.

That really is amazing. Especially considering that we've had some really bad three point shooting teams during that stretch.

But they always managed to hit at least one ....until tonight.

I'll take a win any day over a streak. I didn't want to lose to ****** Davidson. I'll gladly sacrifice any day of the week any streak for a must survive and advance win

Ask anyone who isn’t a Kentucky fan who holds the record for most consecutive games for a 3 and none will know. Nobody gives a ****. It’s irrelevant. We won, that’s all that matters.

Thrilled we won but still bummed about the streak. The further we get the more I’ll feel better about it though so beat Zona/Buffalo !!!

Unreal.

I would rather hear about UK losing some shooting statistic, then hearing, "You all lost to Davidson in the 1st round of the Tournament in 2018" over and over again.

Reading this thread I had to recheck the score because I thought UK WON THE GAME!

Survive and advance!!! The next game could be the LAST of the season. If that means pounding it inside and not shooting three pointers, then GREAT!!! Whatever works!

Are we still playing Saturday or is the game cancelled because UK didn't hit a 3-pointer today?

Smh.

Once they move the line to the international distance, Cal’s teams will routinely have games where they go 0-for from the 3 point line.

I'll admit I'll miss it a bit.

I would have hated having this team remembered for being upset by Davidson even more though.

One of my friends told me at the beginning of the season that this team would be the one to lose the streak. Guess he proved right but at least it was during a win.

One positive. We beat a 3 point shooting team without making a single 3 ourselves

Frankly, I think this is why we won. We owned the lane. We stayed on what worked and when Davidson packed the paint we went to short-range jumpers. No priority was placed on the 3 at all.

Always assumed it would fall when we laid an egg while getting trounced. We won, didn’t need 3’s and barely took any. It had to end and there was no better way.
