So, how many of you guys moved in?
Anything available for around $300 a month?
This place is a whole different animal for little ole Lexington. Wife and I stopped in yesterday to browse around and were blown away.
Walked into Arhaus and they had a nice sectional for 30% off, brought it down to a modest $7,500.
If it wasn't for Shake Shack, which is the GOAT, not sure when we would go back.
Yeah, I think you can get a bagel there for around that.
Wrong.
Summit in Louisville >>>Summit in Lex
I've only been to the Summit in Louisville and it SUCKS, which means the Summit in Lex must be complete trash. It's a freaking shopping center. You really can't walk around as it's one big parking lot.
Pretty much nailed it. Except lex has a subpar shake shack. By far the worst one ive eaten at and ive eaten at a few locations. Surprised they allow such low quality at a location.
I'm not surprised. Shake Shack seems to be going the way of Five Guys. Explosive growth in new locations without good management to ensure quality. Restaurants are already difficult to manage, especially fast food. How do you roll out a ton of those things and ensure quality? Very difficult. I was a big Five Guys fan, but the ones in Kentucky have been a disappointment.
I did go to a Shake Shack in Chicago two weeks ago and I was pretty impressed. Solid burger - not a terrible price.

This is exactly the opposite of my experiences with 5 Guys in Lexington.
Five Guys teamed up with the local prison work program, tbh.
The one here sucks because it's making Nich at MOW more of a clustershit than the clustershit it already is.I've only been to the Summit in Louisville and it SUCKS, which means the Summit in Lex must be complete trash. Also love the constant whining about the price at Shake Shack -- and people always say IT'S $15 FOR A BURGER, FRIES, AND A SHAKE THIS PLACE IS COMPLETE ******** WHAT A SCAM
Here are the prices for those 3 items at other fast-casual type burger places, directly from their Lexington Websites:
Shake Shack: $14.17
5 Guys: $13.84 (-.33)
SmashBurger $12.57 (-1.6)
Burger-Fi $14.21 (+.04)
Freakin Unbelievable Burgers ([eyeroll]) $12.97 (-1.02)
So, $13-$15 for your 2000 calorie lunch. I get hating on Shake Shack is the new cool thing, but at least ***** about your service or not liking the actual food/location -- b/c the perception that there is some huge price discrepancy compared to it's *actual* competition is simply false.
If that's out of your price range for a slightly elevated fast food experience, I completely get it, as that's indeed pretty expensive. I'll pay the extra $1 for Shake Shack 10 times out of 10, if we're putting it up against it's peers, but that's just personal preference.
Sounds like many of you better stick w/ the Value Meal at Rally's or McDonalds tho. $3, boom!

Might not be a slam dunk every time but Wendy's is a shot from the owner's suite on the other end of the arena that you slapped with your pecker. I mean Jesus.Call me a simpleton, but I'd put a Classic Double at Wendy's up against Shake Shack. Yeah, Shake Shack may be a little better, but it's not a slam dunk.
I'm the best eater on cats paw and it's not really close...and anyone who has less than 80,000 posts need not respond b/c I cannot take you seriously.
-haven't done shake shack yet as I don't do "hype", I'm far too sophisticated/busy to fight crowds for a burger.
