The superiority complex we have about Northwestern is befuddling to me.

They could easily beat us. The teams at the top of our conference probably have some room to throw around the conference smack. Agreed. Watching their qb ride the zone read and pull the football at the last second is a thing of beauty. We have 3 weeks to beat our guys over the head to play their assignment and not the football. If we don't play assignment football(ie. ends and outside linebackers containing rather than crashing inside), we will be in for a long day and probably have to score a ton of points, which I think we will be capable of doing against their defense. Regardless of conference affiliation, this is going to be a tough game and a defining moment for Chris Wilson's tenure at State. If we are not completely focused, our bowl winning streak will be history.

I was amazed this morning when people got offended simply because I didn't think a particular woman is attractive. You can't have an opinion on SixPack anymore? As far as their team goes, I don't underestimate them at all. Their running back, Venric Mark, is a very good player. Kain Colter is a good player. The whole team plays solid football. We may have a little more talent than them, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost the game. I believe we will win, but it's not hard to see Northwestern has a solid team that could very well win this game. I have no superiority complex or arrogance toward them whatsoever.

Northwestern has a beautiful campus on Lake Michigan and Evanston is a neat little community nestled just a stone's throw from one of America's truly great cities. I haven't noticed much of that. Northwestern isn't exactly a football household name in this part of the country, but they have a team at least as good as we are. We see them mostly as a high-level academic institution instead of a sports powerhouse. It should be a good game, but there seems to be a little disinterest because they don't have the name of a Michigan or Ohio State to us. But they may feel the same way since we don't have the name of Alabama or Florida.

We do. And I'm not talking about a dumbass like Bogey who makes shithanded accusations, people who actually GET what's going on in the game or in the coaches head to a degree. I'm not trying to be an ***, because I like a lot of what you post, but...

1. Comparing yourself to Coach34 is not going to help your cause. By the way, if Coach34 would take more of a Coach57 approach instead of all of his "matter of fact" predictions and inside info, he would be a great poster. I actually like his comments about strategy and stuff...it's the other nonsense BS that he posts that many of us dislike.

2. Being a high school coach does lend you more of a knowledge of X's and O's than some, maybe most, people on this board...but at the end of the day it's high school football and there are also tons of average Joe's that coach high school football, especially at the coordinator level. Not saying you don't know what you're talking about, because I think you do....just saying that being a coach doesn't automatically mean anything. I have friends that I graduated with that are highschool coaches, coordinators, etc, and I have forgotten more football knowledge than some of them have....and I only played, never coached.

I don't think many people question your football knowledge. It's obvious that you and Jmoss know your stuff. Folks may disagree with you all, but it's usually because they have a different interpretation or understanding of the game (often NO understanding) and that's okay. We're all different and having different opinions is expected.

C34 gets bashed for many different reasons. Most not having anything to do with him being a "coach". Actually, some folks don't consider him to be a "coach" at all. In my opinion, much of the drama surrounding C34 is instigated by him because he enjoys it. C34 is a drama queen and I think much of the stuff he says is done to provoke drama and stir up controversy.
