Good evening gents I've watching these treads and in my opinion the Tigers are disrespected each week. Ok reason why ? They beat in my opinion a great well coached GW team last year but ever since then the GW fan base wants the coach fired, I guess loosing to the Tigers was not suppose to happen, but hey the Tigers did loose to 2a Riverheads for the title. Then then Tigers travel to Essex and pull off a lucky win according to most , I been reading a million excuses about Essex especially when they get beat, they don't need that they are great program. Ok ok then you have someone suggesting Colonial Beach will beat the Tigers this week ? No respect just no respect I tell ya ! I guess the Tigers will just take it week by week and perfect that Sussex Veer !

Let's see: Sussex has been ranked over and over again in the State top three teams in the major VA Preps Poll.
Sussex is currently # 2 in the state in the Va Preps poll. Sussex is also #2 in the two or more other 1A polls done by posters on here, including me.
The only more respect Sussex could get would be for them to be ranked #1. That distinction would belong to Riverheads and considering Sussex lost to Riverheads last year 49-6, I don't think so....

You are not going to get through to some of these guys man. Sussex will continue to do all the talking on the field. let everybody else stay talking on the broad with there would have should have could have threads. because at the end of the day Everybody knows who the two best teams are this year in 1A football and they don't have a choice but to respect that.
Riverheads is 1A. I did think Essex's experience would out weigh Sussex's inexperience in the first game, but I was wrong. Sussex has a GREAT coaching staff with players who are not scared to play football. At the end of the day, there is some tough regular season play left for the Tigers this season and Region A playoffs will not be a cake walk. Colonial Beach won't keep up this week, so stop fishing ha...Keep getting better Tigers and don't forget what it takes to beat the champs!
Sussex from what I'm hearing should be under the radar. They are very inexperience and have alot to improve on to be considered an elite team. It will be hard to have another undefeated regular season. No matter what the end result this year I know for a fact that they will get better, compete each week win or lose, and continue to make the community proud. They have a coaching staff to are dedicated to the kids and a bunch of players who love TIGER FOOTBALL! TIGER PRIDE!

I wish people would get over which class Riverheads is in. The numbers are the numbers. I sure don't hear any complaining about Windsor having 472 students, 2 less than Riverheads. Oh wait, those 2 extra are the two best athletes in the whole school and play every sport. NOT! W&L has 462, GW has 456, Essex 439. Why should any of these teams compete against schools with 600-700 plus for championships? They shouldn't. The VHSL system isn't perfect but it is a system based on numbers. Are we really gonna whine about a few more or less kids in a school? You might if your teams lose to teams like Riverheads. Let the kids play, it's high school for goodness sakes.

The real number should be around 450 . District lines have been moved and RHS lost about 25 or 30 . Not sure how it has an affect on football but word is 95% lost to Draft were girls !

We play schools with 250 to 300 kids more than we have and win
