LT - I think Derek Sherrod, who was a sophomore this season, is fine at LT. He graded in the high 80's and low 90's most of the season. I could see whoever doesn't win the RT starting job as his backup. Also, Addison Lawrence, who was a redshirt freshman this season, could factor in as well.</p>
LG - I see Quentin Saulsberry, who started at RT as a redshirt freshman this season, moving to this spot. He was out of position as a tackle, and is more suited to play guard. See RG to see who I feel would be his backup.
C - J.C. Brignone, who was a third-year sophomore this season, should be the starter again. Considering this was his first year to play center, he should be improved if for no other reason due to the experience he gained. D.J. Looney, a redshirt freshman this past season, will back him up.
RG - Craig Jenkins, who was a fourth-year junior this season, may wind up being the starter here, but I see freshman Tobias Smith, who redshirted this season due to his injury, really pushing him hard for the starting position. Whoever doesn't win the starting job will serve as the backup.
RT - I expect junior Phillip Freeman, who redshirted this past season after transferring from juco, to possibly win this battle. But third-year sophomore Mark Melichar is also in the picture here. But don't rule out incoming true freshman Gabriel Jackson. He looks like he has a lot of potential. Even if he doesn't start, I would expect him to play.
TE - I consider TE to be part of the offensive line in the MSU scheme. True freshman Nelson Hurst started most of the games so he will bring back a lot of experience. Redshirt freshman Marcus Green will also be back, as will true freshman Kendrick Cook, who started a couple of games at TE this season.
As you can see, the offensive line was pretty young this season. So, experience should only help them.
