putting your name on a post is idiotic. Your statement about being "the only one who admits that noone wants there name under their post" doesn't mean a damn thing. It's just you stating the 17ing obvious. That's why you're being ridiculed. That and using there and their in the same freakin sentence.

Because it's easier. In real life, I'm not going to engage a psychotic crack head on the street screaming "EAT MY ***, **** BRAINS!!!" because there is no win in that situation. Either I beat his *** and go to jail, or he beats my *** and steals my wallet.

On this here message board, I can't tell who the psychotic crackheads are, so it's easier to use a handle, thus avoiding that one, single crazy as 17 weirdo who might want to rape me with a gun barrel and wear my *** skin for a hat. Got it? Is that simple enough for you?

If you want to know whether I'd tell AK to his face that he's a ****** basketball coach and that he has proven to be incapable of developing talented players into winning, efficient, technically sound basketball players, I'd LOVE the opportunity. Unfortunately, I live in 400 miles away and he's a ***** who would ignore any email, phone calls or letters to the editor requesting such a meet n greet because he would think I was one of the *** skin wearing psychos that we're all trying to avoid on the internet.

And even beyond that, what good would it accomplish? Would he all of a sudden become a great coach? Would he instantly transform into everything I've ever wanted in a BB coach? Would we start winning SEC games and going to the NCAA's? Of course not. Fans vent. Fans get pissed off. Fans scream nasty **** at games, which AK hears, but does not acknowledge. AK is the one with a job that puts him in the spotlight for praise when he does well, and scrutiny when he does poorly. If these coaches and players are so offended by "internet heros" venting their frustrations, maybe they need a new line of work. The pussification of American sports if almost complete.

suggesting they use their real name. But if someone wants to praise a coach or player, they can remain anonymous?

I could argue that you get more honest truth from anonymous comments<div>
</div><div>So which of the below general comments below are NOT true?</div><div>
</div><div>1) Sid is lazy and immature</div><div>2) Our team does not want to play defense for 40 minutes and lets inferior teams outwork them</div><div>3) Stansbury is not the best coach and doesn't inspire the fan base with much confidence</div><div>4) 99% of dudes on here like to view a woman's rear end</div><div>

a) I do say what I post here when I'm not anonymous. I won't say what my real name is to the internet, but I'll tell you my real name in person, and tell you everything that I've ever posted here.
b) Probably true. I would probably not say the things I say here to Stansbury's face, and I definitely wouldn't say them to the players. I don't believe anyone should ever say negative things to the players. That's the coaches job, and like many others have said, it's the ADs job to say it to the coach. I don't want to interfere with that. However, if I thought Stansbury or the players really wanted to know what I thought, then I would tell them (unless I thought they would kick my *** afterwards), but that's not likely to happen.

Getting back to "a)", I want everyone to know how I feel about our basketball program. I want everyone to know I'm a fan of Mississippi State University, and if I see you face to face, I'll tell you these things. If you want to come to my house, then I won't give you my name or address, because I have no desire to fight anyone. Chances are you, and most people on this board could kick my ***, but when I talk about Mississippi State and our athletics, I say what feel and mean it, unless I'm talking to the players and coaches, then I don't feel I have the right.

Now go away. Also see how many posts I have? According to you I will get bashed for this... let's see.

wouldn't say what they post here if
<div>
</div><div>a) they weren't anonymous
</div><div>
</div><div>and</div><div>
</div><div>b) if they were speaking directly to Stansbury or a player</div><div>
</div><div>And the 1% that would are just those jerks that don't care what people think about them.</div>

Who I am isn't too well hidden from people that know me. A few posters (and a few lurkers) have figured out who I am. Although amazingly, when dawgstudent got a donation from me a few years ago, he actually asked me who I was. I couldn't believe he didn't figure it out. If the athletic dept. cared at all who I am, I don't think they'd have too much problem finding out.</p>

I don't think the athletic department cares who we are... I'm sure they get some pretty valuable feedback from this board (as evident from changes in basketball atmosphere, Mississipi sign on the back of the scoreboard, all kinds of other things). If they really wanted to know who we were, it wouldn't take much to find out... but what would they do... keep us from buying tickets from giving them easy access to tons of feedback? Businesses want feedback.

remainanonymouswhile posting is to keep from being fired. A lot of employers would be shocked to find out how much time their employees spend pontificating on message boards.
