On Gameday earlier they showed a couple players got in Clemson's face during early warmups. They're now down 28-0 in the 2nd Qtr.

They might have thought it was cool to act that way when they were beating everyone 20 years ago but now it's just tiresome.

Dabo will hang 70 on them for that. I actually scored tickets to the Clemson-WF game. It is looking like a magic season assuming they can beat FSU.

Miami is horrible and Go,den is worse. And people here were in hysterics saying we needed to hire him. Good thing they aren't the AD. Golden is a joke.

Now 35-0 Clemson and Miami got an unsportsmanlike penalty on the PAT. Fans are leaving in droves for the exits.

Now a Pick 6 for Clemson and 42-0 with 30 seconds left in first half.

The post game presser with Al Golden will be must see TV.

Golden isn't a bad coach, just doesn't fit in the 305. It was a HUGE gamble which is Miami's nightmare now.

And before you bash Golden, he's gonna be on the list for this job in a few months.

OH MY - CBS had this as an 'upset alert' before the game - OOPS!
"You know, considering all the speculation surrounding Al Golden and his future with the Canes, it needs to be pointed out that Miami actually controls its own destiny in the Coastal Division. Maybe a win over Clemson would help fans notice things aren't as bad as they seem?"

only question now is - will Clemson be determined to maintain the shut-out & try to add another 30+ points

And i'd be glad to have him if we can't get GS back or Rhule.

If Flood is eventually replaced, RU is not hiring someone just fired from Thug U. Maybe he would get a courtesy interview if there's a relationship with his agent but never be hired.

58-0. Golden will find they changed the locks on his office door. Schiano on Line 1.

They destroyed what was once a feared football program. I completely understand that Miami teams of the past were not comprised of legit student athletes but they did provide some of the most talented football programs in the history of college football. They were blatantly robbed by Ohio State in that national championship game. But that's what happens when people hate your program. The problem with the "U" today lies within the program. I'm referring to Donna Shalala (sp) who in my opinion has single handedly destroyed that program.

I don't think Shalala is there anymore. I think she recently left within the last year or so, actually had a stroke too recently.

People keep saying "Miami will be back!" but I dunno...this is a program whose historical baseline is pretty mediocre as far as I can tell--wasn't the program in danger of being shut down in the 70s?--that then went on the greatest 20 year run in CFB history and is now...back to where they were. Recruiting is way more difficult now too--everybody recruits Florida, more Florida programs, etc. And there's the lack of a stadium.

I have enough residual hatred of them to enjoy them getting destroyed, of course.

I said it when they made the decision and it's turned out to be accurate. Miami's decision not to eccept the big east offer to guarantee them BCS money for a number of years was the worst football decision ever made.

Miami could remain a national football program while dominating the Big East and funding their program.

Instead they chose to go the ACC and as predicted, Ihave become a regional and not national program

Their conference affiliation is not the problem.

I don't know...I feel like it could be part of the problem. The ACC is kind of a corrupt country club, with a lot of programs content to just be in the power structure thanks to FSU/Clemson. The structure of the league doesn't exactly encourage football competitiveness...

Leaving the BE for the ACC is the problem. It took a national program and regionalized it. Simple as that.

It took a lot of the national allure they had and minimized it. Sure coaching has hurt but the recruiting suffered as the interest suffered.

They were rolling through the BE and having the ND or other national games they could claim as supporting a top 5 season with wins. Now they are Miam v Wake, UNC Duke ...who cares up north or Midwest or west?

What you say is 100% true. But there were other reasons that attributed to their demise. The country despised them, SEC teams feared them and very deep pockets put enough pressure on the NCAA to put them under a microscope. If the NCAA backs off, University President is on board and they hire a Pete Carroll caliber coach you'll see Miami winning another NC.

Maybe WE should invest in a ''Pete Carroll'' calibre coach....

Oh YUCK! Worst loss EVER for Miami - this is ugly - seems that the only people left are the ones who must have come on a bus & are waiting for their ride - - and it was about like this for a good portion of the game - hard to see Golden surviving 10 minutes beyond the end of the season.
