their guy is throwing lots of pitches way out of the zone and if he throws anything close its a strike. Our guys are staying around the plate but it has to be solidly over and above the knees to be a strike.

I've noticed this too. On the other hand..

I don't understand why we are so timid at the plate. We lose games when we stare at strikes.

Maybe with new pitcher....

he'll change his zone. He did that between Lindgren and Mitchell.
