The way i understand the Sidney situation is that he can play BUT if the NCAA later rules him inelegible, we forfeit games he played in. So, start each game without him and as the game progresses if it appears we will lose, put him in. Worst case, we MAY have to forfeit a game we thought we would lose anyway and best case, he helps us turn a likely loss into a win AND is later found elegible.

You understand it wrong. He has to actually be declared eligible first.
