I guess I'm one of the few who thinks the the SEC West isn't nearly as bad as folks are saying. All have pretty good RPI and SOS overall. As the record show, all teams are pretty much equal and as of late the West teams have been showing improvement by beating the East teams a little more than earlier. Plus with Msu, Au and Lsu being hot of as late, and Fl, SC and even Vandy having not dominating teams as they had earlier in the season makes me believe someone in the West just might make some noise not only in the SEC tourney but the Ncaa tourney as well.

I just think the SEC is a much better overall league than the other leagues. That's just me though.

We don't have a Tennessee and Kentucky to beat up on.

If Auburn beats Tennessee, the East would have won 54% (49-41) of its games vs. the West. The West is always going to win 50% of its games against each other (will end 45-45). So is the East a tad better, maybe - but if you take out the two top teams (Vandy is 13-2 against the West and Alabama is 9-6 against the West) then the rest of the East is .480 against the West and the rest of the West is .479 . Its not that much better.

I did not realize those stats.

It's more that Vandy, USC, and Florida are just that good than it is that the West is down that much. If the selection committe takes the best at-large teams, the SEC should get 10 in the tournament. I doubt that happens, but it should.
