Isn’t just losing. It’s boring af. At least entertain us.
Good call and something others (and I) have talked about too - last year we lost a lot of games, but we were exciting in many of those losses with a wide open playbook with much of the same talent and it seems like we've gone AshError this year. I don't get it.

This was always the problem with Schiano and my confidence in him took a huge hit today. His offenses are always terrible and boring af and the common denominator is always him. I'd rather lose 45 to 44 every game than 13 to 7. At least with good offense/bad defense there's hope you might score enough to pull out a victory. With crap offense as soon as you fall behind you know you're going to lose and then you just have to suffer through 45 minutes of a losing effort.

The idea that it is all entertainment is real and I get it. However, football at its essential core isn’t all that entertaining. It’s about blocking , tackling. If you can’t compete up front at the LOS, you are dead. RU cannot be “entertaining“ until they are better on the OL. They also need more speed at WR and RB.

Exactly. We got Schiano 1.0 today, which is why I was hesitant about him coming back. If we have to lose, I'd rather lose 41-38 than 14-10. If Schiano 2.0 fails, we better get an OFFENSE FIRST HC.

Maybe it’s time to start rolling out some of the schoolyard ******** we ran somewhat often last season. Made for some exciting plays at least and seemed to work fairly well.

So far this year aside from the very poorly executed “pretending to be confused and then have the running back line up under center” play, I can’t really recall very many of those types of plays.

Schiano ball. Don’t turn the ball over and play defense and special teams. He is who he is.

I think Covid last year had his mind focused on other areas so he couldn’t micromanage. Now he’s implemented the ball is the program stupidity and tightened up the O.

It’s a shame because a Gleeson offense takes pressure off the OL which is our weakest link. Now we’ve been reduced to a run game and screens forcing the OL to straight up block. Which we suck at.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Gleeson gets out before his stock fully fades. He’s going backwards with Schiano.

We are not scoring 30 plus pts with this O line

How do you do that with less than 1.5 seconds to throw the ball?
That certainly describes some plays, but there were plays to be had where there was time and Vedral either didn't make the read/throw or got ancy and tucked it.. Hell even the two big ones he DID hit were dicey. He badly under-threw Melton on the deep ball that should have been a TD but Melton had to fair catch it. And the TD was made overcomplicated. Bo was wide open and an off target throw made him unnecessarily toe tap to make the catch.

Sadly enough, everyone has pretty much figured out what throws Vedral can make and the reality is the answer is “not many”. The line can’t block the plays long enough. I think next year there will be a bigger jump. Although things look dark right now, a few more offensive linemen and play makers on defense will make a huge impact. Wimsatt will be starting next year
