The worst thing I see about one more year....

...is that there's no reasonable expectation for the team next year. You can't reasonably expect them to even contend for the dance. If he comes back, I think we're looking at at least two more years. If next year's team makes the NIT, that would have to be considered a success. Are we going to base a decision on firing a coach on whether or not we make the NIT in a rebuilding year? Either do it now or buckle in.

Not to mention it would just put us one year behind on the new coach's program.</p>

that one more year may very well lead to two because I heard all the 1 more year crap last year and the year before. If Stricklin did indeed meet with Stans at the end of last year and lay out expectations for him to keep his job, one would have to think that he has failed them miserably. So, to keep his job now is like a mom that threatens her kids all through the store, but they continue to do what they wish because they know there are no consequences.

If Stans keeps his job, we will know that he has Stricklin by whatever balls he may or may not have and that he has more clout than any coach we have had in awhile in any sport because Jackie didn't survive this...Croom surely didn't survive this...not even Ron Polk survived this type of failure. It's just time for the entire fanbase, for Stans, and for the culture of MSU basketball to have a change and this is as good a time as any.

It's just time.
