Their 5 runs came on 2 hits.

Yep we did what we absolutely could not do and that was...

#giftwrapped

Not make the cajuns hit their way on base. Walks and wild pitches in the 3rd was the absolute difference. Aside from walking 3 and wild pitching 2 in that inning we made one more mistake. We pitched to that 2nd baseman with 2 out and first base open. Laster I thought was trying to pitch around him when he threw the first two way outside but then he served one up to him on the inner half and he predictably made him pay.

The one aspect

of this team that I thought we could count on the most, defense, let us down.

I thought our defense was solid last night. Unless you are including wild pitches/pass balls in that equation, in which case, I agree.

But honestly, if you would have told me we were going to hold ULL to five runs and seven hits (two of which were infield singles), I would have taken that.

I'm

absolutely including pitching in that equation.

I'm not really getting on you, but I just don't understand why people seperate pitching from defense. It (pitching) is under the defensive umbrella, too me. Often, people like to seperate the two, which I don't understand.

Again, I'm not getting onto you, rather a broader audience.
