Next year when they take a step down it starts waning. Make no mistake, this move is about right now. He’s their best shot to host a playoff game and potentially compete and they don’t know if they’ll have this opportunity again.As much as I dislike them I have to admit they put a surprisingly good organization (fund raising, PR etc) for a Mississippi school over the last several years. The question now how much of that energy and enthusiasm (especially fund raising) will cool down with Kiffin gone.
I agree it’s their best option, but still not a good one. He’s not even a great coordinator and now he will run everything. They will keep it up for a couple of years outta spite.
