Coaching.

F'ing stupid. Let's keep kicking deep to the same guy that keeps running them back and let's keep running a QB with a banged up ankle to the outside when we need a couple of yards. All great ideas and odds are that these decisions will work one of these days.

Agreed. At this point he not demonstrated he can HC, call a game, recruit with the upper half of the B-12. He's proven he can't get it done.

he can recruit it, but we ingnore how poor the defense played at times and special teams too.

I'm officially done with him. Time to cut our losses and let him go.

As I said last week... with Skylar as our returning option there is ZERO reason to believe we'll be any better next than we were this year. Two games in a row where Howard isn't even at 50% completion, and make matters worse a HC that throws the damn ball when your RB is averaging over 6 yards a carry.

Just flipping stupid.

I supported his hire. Believed in him early on, but I'm seeing ZERO development in the one area of the game that should have been developing.

Im upset too but it's not in our interest to do it this year. Too many people looking for a good coach.

Too many good coaches available to not want to pick one up.

Simple fact is next year is going to be another below average year baring a miracle at the QB position and baring a miracle in decision making.

How you don't run Smallwood is beyond me.

No there isn't. Hell, there's been about 10 new positions and we would be at the bottom. Not going to happen

At least running Smallwood, you won't have armchair QB's like you and me questioning the call. It is our strength versus a QB that is banged up that doesn't have the speed to reach the corner. He tried it earlier in the quarter with the exact same result. It was the wrong play call the first time and it will remain the wrong play call even if it ever worked.

I think Howard's competitiveness overwhelms his ability. He had a bum leg.

I don't blame Howard at all. I find he has great heart and gives it his all at all times. I'm proud that he wears a WV on his helmet.

The players have played hard all year. I'm super proud of them.

I am pissed....I cant say anything nice....dont think I will say anything at all...no way we should have lost that game, we have a much better team.

Amazing. They use a receiver as their second string QB, and his first two series result in two TDs. We have two 4* QBs who never get to touch the ***** ball after our starting QB suffers a broken leg(maybe). This year we have depth, talent and experience. Weak at QB and receiver. That just happens to be the areas where our coach has expertise - according to resum'e. Sportsfans, if DH cannot win with that combination, can he ever win as head coach?

Unbelievable. Holgs post game presser says "I should've taken it into consideration" speaking about Howard's ankle and immediately saying he thought he broke his ankle in the 1st quarter.

Really Dana? You should've taken it into consideration when earlier in the quarter, you ran the exact same play with the exact same result? Really? I swear I am having a hard time with this loss. You won't find another WVU fan that tolerates losing more than me when the other team simply beats you. But losing due to stupidity.....I can't take.

I posted on this site and said verbally to many people the weekend we lost to Ok St and UGA lost to Tennessee, either Holgs or Mark Richt will be gone at year end. I'm afraid UGA made a mistake. Can't say that about WVU and their football coach being gone.

That doesn't recognize the blown coverage of a 70 yd TD with Oklahoma after we had taken the MO in the game. That makes 3-4 blown coverages during DH tenure at the same spot on the field. All losses that we should have won. Not good, but consistent.

You're right about that. I assumed having only one season with a Top 25 recruiting class would put all other class in bottom half. We had the
5th best recruiting class last year according to rivals.

I did the analysis and, according to Rivals ratings, we are almost exactly average when compared to other B12 classes.
