We should win 4 of our last five to get us to 10 wins in the conference.

Arkansas should also finish with 10 wins.

Who wins the tie-breaker?

Regardless.....I just can't see getting left out with 10 conference wins. I'd be surprised if it has ever happened before.

twice, in fact. South Carolina and Auburn both had 10 wins.

We're going to have to win four or five and get to Sunday in the tournament in my opinion.

And as far as the tiebreaker, we need Ole Miss to finish strong and beat Arkansas to win the tiebreaker, or Arkansas to slip up against LSU (After head to head and divisional record, its record vs. 3rd place SEC West, 4th place SEC West, etc.)

I will be surprised if we win 4 of our last 5. However if we do win 4 of our last 5 and one of those is Tennessee I think we will be fine.

and get into the championship (that would mean winning 2 games in the tourney). We HAVE to have the TN win and the SC wiin in my opinion. We only have 1 win on the road against the top 100 so we need the SC win. We can't lose to LSU, Bama, or Auburn b/c that would be just another loss that would get us criticized by the committee.

there is nothing on our resume to be proud about so we have to be flawless from here on out.

and we need for the East 2 seed (probably Vandy/Kentucky loser) to win their quarterfinal game if we end up the West 1 seed. Getting to Sunday by beating Auburn and Alabama isn't going to help, unless we win on Sunday.

That would also put us at around 25 wins. Iwould be willing to bet thatno team in SEC history has ever been left out with even 23 or 24 wins. I do think 23 wins is probably going to be the minimum number to get in.

....we're not winning 7 straight. You may be right. I sure hope you're wrong.

I am hopeful that 10-6 Western Division championship with a win over UT would put us in, and one win in Nashville would solidify it.

That said, it's obvious we were nowhere close to getting an at large last year after getting a 13 seed for winning the SEC tournament.

we have nothing to be proud about or that stands out on our resume. We now have 1 RPI top 50 win and frankly, some human is not going to be that impressed with Old Dominion. We have 1 road win over the RPI top 100. that's it, that's all we have to show for this season. So to even get any look, we have to be flawless.

I think that 4 out of the next 5 and a SECT win will get us an at large bid but one of those 4 regular season wins has to be a W vs. Tennessee at home. If they beat us I think we are NIT bound.

It's as simple as winning out in the regular season and we're in.

If we go 10-6, it starts to get hairy, particularly if the loss is UT, and the biggest factor is probably Florida's performance. They could very well lose 4 of their last 5 or jump up and win the same number. We need them to finish worse than us in SEC play.

It would also help if UM would start winning some games before they fall out of the top 50. This weekend we should all be pulling for Auburn and the UMites.

in that a year where we came in with high expectations all we are doing is trying to figure out combinations of things happening so that we can get an at-large as what, an 11 seed best case? I mean this was suppose to be our Sweet 16 or bust year. And what's worse is if we can't make the NCAAs this year where does that put us next year when Swat is gone. In a year when not much is expected, even like last year, certainly just making the tournament is something to be happy about but it is very hard for me to feel that way about this year. Especially when there have been so many games we have just let slip away (Kentucky, Richmond, @Ark, etc.)

the committee is going to look at your RPI, wins against the top 50, road wins, bad losses, conference performance, adn last 10 games.

Overall wins is an afterthought.

Florida got left out last year with 23 wins, including a win in Tampa.
You are right D@A. In fact Florida has won a grand total of 49 games the last two years with no NCAA bids. Of course, that includes a few NIT wins but that still does not bode well for us. Thanks for ruining my day.
