There might not be a better show on TV than Newsroom...

I loved it last season. I've got this season recorded but I've only watched the

first episode. Apparently it's good this season?

It's much better than last season. I've had to remind myself that it's fiction.

I don't watch it but should. One of the actresses worked for me years ago when she was a student here.

It's my favorite at the moment.

This season is outstanding, especially the last few episodes. Jeff Daniels is great.

Also...Olivia Munn.

Now that my wife is done with that True Blood crap I'll try and catch up.

My only complaint would be it that they get a little too liberal for my liking sometime. Boardwalk is starting up soon as well. I really like Boardwalk.

I like it and it had the potential to be the best show on tv (great concept, plot, and characters) but I think it has some big problems with the way they tie things together. They spent half the show building up to the shot clock epiphany (which was wayyy overdone), but almost none on the fact that someone was out to get Charlie which was a lot more interesting to me. That's just a few examples. There are numerous every week. It's still probably my favorite show airing right now though.

If you have a second you should look up the text that Olivia Munm sent to Chris Pine (Kirk from the new Star Trek) while they were dating. She's 17in nutts. And slutty. Makes her 10x hotter to me.

Watched the first two episodes of the first season. Couldnt make it any farther.

The frantic pace of the dialogue seemed forced, and the storylines were overdramatic. I just couldn't get into it. Sorkin is also a megadouche which should not matter but I can't help it.

Jeff Daniels Character

seems to be based on Keith Olbermann. The similarities are damn near spot on. The day Olbermann left Dan Patricks side is the day he jumped the shark. Watched Keith interview Mark Cuban on his new ESPN2 show, and could only watch half the interview. If Olbermann had any realtionship to MSU, he'd be a lock for DDDY.

Otherwise great show.

Noticed that Sunday's episode didnt get replayed at 11. I missed it at 9. When do they replay during the week?? HBO website is blocked here at work for some reason so I was hoping one of you could advise......

Is Will really conservative in the show? He seems to have more liberal tendencies even though he claims conservative.

He's a conservative who loves making fun of the current crop of Republicans.

I think that's why I like his character so much...

My favorite show right now. I've always loved Sorkin shows (even though he's a huge liberal). The dialogue is my favorite part. Very fast paced. And of course Olivia Munn.

I think he'd be center-left, but a lot of Republicans used to be before Reagan claimed conservatism for the GOP. I think Sorkin is trying to say that the party has been hijacked by the Tea Party, but if Will is conservative Sorkin missed the timeframe by about 30 years.

Yeah I don't

have AMC so I just watch it on Netflix, which won't release it until the season is over. I may be able to buy it on iTunes and download each new episode, as I did with Walking Dead. I'm not sure, because I haven't looked.

i'm a liberal, and i think newsroom is awful. terrible writing. stupid personal drama. totally melodramatic. too much of a 20/20 hindsight "told you so" kinda attitude.

breaking bad is far and away the best show currently airing on tv.

Yeah Sorkin is hard to digest some times. He has always been that way. Sports Night, West Wing and now Newsroom. All pretty much the same show. He definitely uses a formula for the relationships between his characters.

Just to chime in on the Will political stuff, I see him as Center Right, but Sorkin likes to point out what's crazy in politics and society.

2nd season of Newsroom is much better, and I loved the 1st. One of the best pilots I've ever seen too.

This last episode was the best yet in my opinion. The last scene was especially great. The CEO of the entire company is a great character
