Belhaven University.

Ugh. They're private. They can call themselves what they want.

University? Seriously?

At least Millsaps has some decent, albeit pricey, programs. They may have the ugliest student body in the state, but at least Millsaps has a decent reputation nationwide. I have never met a Belhaven grad that I would give to ***** for. What they lack in knowledge, skills and abilities they make up for in arrogance. I would rather hire a JSU grad.

some "tiny colleges for people who can't handle life at State, OM, or Southern" smack.

Kidding. Millsaps is a great school. MC is great if you want to go to chapel and be indoctrinated. Belhaven is... uh, yeah.

there. I just didn't enjoy growing up in Jackson and then going to college in Jackson. I transferred to State after 1 year.

Belhaven, Millsaps, or MC... I was only making a joke.. Also, I have never talked to anyone that went to MC that liked it. Actually, they all hated it and most ended up transferring.

Millsap's girls were freaks. Belhaven's girls were too serious.

MC's girls liked to get it on. All that repression and **** I guess.

Hooking up with a MC girl at the Dock on a Thursday night = mucho getting it on.

Played for a year under David Saunders. Moved back to Starkville and did four years at State. Millsaps is an okay place. Good people, great teachers. But having grown up in Starkville, I was used to a much bigger college experience, and that's just not possible in Jackson.

Belhaven can suck it. Not because of the school or the people, but because I partially tore a tendon in my right foot trying to return a punt on that god awful "home" field they used. Hopefully they've upgraded.

and generally does more research and offers a wider variety of degrees, especially graduate ones. Thanks, Wikipedia. But apparently there is no actual standard for using the terms.

A Methodist is a Baptist who learned to read.

A Presbyterian is a Methodist who moved to town.

An Episcopalian is a Presbyterian who got rich.

between university and college. Technically, Mississippi College is a university but keeps the traditional name. Most small liberal arts colleges have changed to 'universities' and probably fulfill the requirements for the name barely. I went to MC many years ago and received a fine education for a bachelor's degree. If your goal is to party as much as possible in college, I'd advise you to go somewhere else.
