watching the first and second pitches grooved through the strike zone and then having to protect the plate the rest of the at bat... So I hear Jackie was at practice today.

Expecting a guy to go out and throw 130+ pitches with no run support or bullpen support for that matter is a pretty tough thing to ask a guy to do.
