There's really no point in having the QB argument on here...

Because everyone is going to think just what they want to think. There are guys who are going to bash Relf no matter what he does and say that Russell is the savior of our football team. The 7-11, 33 yard stat you are looking at are plays from "the open field" during the scrimmage, hence "<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; ">(Please note, stats only include open-field scrimmage, not third-down, redzone and goalline situations)" As far as the conner ballard rushing statistics, i dont know where that came from because it said in the article that "Montrell Connerstill nursing an injury."</span>

what's the point of having a discussion about our QB situation on a sports message board?

Relf and Russell are fighting for the number 2 spot. Stegal has nailed down the starting spot. Croom say he don't want to take a chance on getting him hurt!!

Look, if Relf is really improved enough to win the job outright then that's a testament to Dan the Man for his skills as a QB coach.

However, he was after all a one star SWAC level QB when he was recruited to MSU. And while he won the Egg Bowl with his legs, his biggest pass at MSU to date was a 10 yard overthrow that a talented WR turned into a great play.

We need to win games and go bowling. If it turns out that Relf has actually improved that much and can lead us to a bowl game then that's awesome. But, for now, you can't blame any fan of MSU for being skeptical.

more consistently. If Relf can complete the normal 5-10 yard throws, he could be very dangerous. From practice reports from last year, it sounded like Russell was getting it at the end of the year while Relf was still hitting shitters 10 yards off the field half the time.

let's just let Mullen decide who should play or not play. Now if he wants my advice, he knows how to pm me here. ;)

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, GO BACK TO JEANS PAIGE! You have no business being here. Go mediate on some other message board. Jean might even put you on staff over there.

Relf is another RB or TE playing QB. I hope he starts and becomes the greatest QB in MSU history. Russell, obviously, is not ready to be the starter yet.

tell everyone to not have the conversation. My point was that no one on here will actually look at statistics as a whole instead of just picking and choosing which ones you want to look at to suit your opinion. Relf didnt beat out tyson lee last year because he was to busy smoking weed, getting suspended and not giving a damn. Im not saying the kid is great, but it is ignorant to look at part of a practices stats and try to make an intelligent argument. Just like pointing out how many interceptions Relf throws everyday and then saying nothing about how many russell throws.
