I'll give a good reporter who develops good sources credit when they get a "scoop". But Journlaism requires proof of facts, even when annoymous sources are quoted.

This story with the Washington Post about Trump passing on classified information is not good Journalism.

Why?

Because the principles involved in it deny the facts, and there are no alternate sources willing to go on the record to counter those denials! So why is it still being pushed as a fact?

Because it's being driven driven by an agenda. That agenda among the media and the leakers is to destroy Trump's credibility so he can't carry out his agenda toward dismantling Leviathan without massive public support.

That's all this is. Anonymous sources can't be verified, or invalidated. These leaks even if true, are not being sourced by second or third party validations. They are simply being reported as fact even when officials being quoted opposite the leaks deny them.

If I were Trump, I'd stop all meetings with any WH personnel not cleared ahead of time with restricted access to top secret information. Anyone with access to information, I would require use of Government owned computers and no other devices so every piece of information sent or collected could be screened.

This is dangerous. We have to trust the media to tell us the Truth about our President, and we must believe the President when he tells us the media is lying about him.

We are in a situation now where half the country (that hates Trump) only believes the media attacks on him...and the other half (that supports Trump) doesn't believe a word the media says about him. Make no mistake about it, all the media is doing right now is attacking Trump.

We can't self govern in such an atmosphere of mistrust, and I'm starting to think this is the whole objective behind these leaks.
