I don't like everything that gets called but these things even up over the course of a game. The umps have nothing to do with us hitting batters, not making routine defensive plays, and serving up bombs.

True on the first two but an inconsistent strike zone can certainly lead to serving up bombs.

And our answer is to lay off pitches in the dirt and make their guy throw it in the middle. He has the same strike zone for both teams for the most part.

Of course, we can't lay off pitches. We prefer to make a mediocre pitcher look like sandy Koufax out there, and our coach is more worried about chewing the umpires *** than getting after his own players for stringing together ****** at bats.
