...clear skies all week. S/B ready for Kenfucky. Now, be advised that there WILL be glitches. The new control room is very diff. There is a learning curve. Benny Ashford and crew are doing all they can to avoid problems but it is inherent that some will occur. So please dont ***** and moan if they experience a few glitches. Be a grown up and STFU. You know who you are.

Why are they rushing to use it for the Kentucky game? Why not get everyone at the controls comfortable with it and knowledgable about what it can do and unveil it at the first game next year?

and if there are major problems, you have the entire off-season to deal with them.

unveiling it at a big game like auburn this year would've been nice. we open hosting jackson state next year. might as well start using it now.

Advertisements = Lots of Money

I just walked passes the jumbotron and about half of the panels were up for the main screen. Just for the record, I did not notice any panels being place as of 11:00pm last night. So, they have place about half of the board in 14 hours, which is damn impressive.

yea last night alone they got a 1/3 of it done. And all day today the board has been coming together nicely. All the panels will be up at this rate by tomorrow.

photos.............it is sounding to me like those boards & the control room are somewhat of a plug & play set-up, so the system was designed for this site, therefore, it was manufactured, assembled & tested off site, & all they have been waiting on is for the structure to reach completion.

My thinking is that once all the pieces are plugged up & tied into the control room, they probably have one hell of a badass test program for start up & syncing purposes. So what we need is the SixPack 'Man on the Scene'

Last year the HD board at USM was ready (barely) for the first game. It was glitch-filled. The whole first season with it was a work in progress. This year, they seem to know what they're doing. It really adds to the game and it's much better than the old craptronic board.

The funniest thing for the first game was the aspect ratio being screwed up, so the game looked like an episode of "Little People, Big World".

Sorry for using an old pic. This is what it looked like at 4:00 pm. The guys keeping a picture album with the Athletic Department need to step it up with the photos.

Hence, the rush.
