Genuinely don't understand their fascination with Walmart potato salad?
That's at least the third separate post I've seen referencing it.
Is it some inside joke, or an attempt at a jab at the size of Starkville?

This is surreal. I just bumped into Coach O'Connor in the potato salad aisle at Kroger. I shook his hand to welcome him and told him my wife's boyfriend is keeping his prosthetic leg in good resale condition, ready to post on Craigslist when we make it to Omaha next year.

Any group that caught up in potato salad has some screws loose.

It's 17'n potatoes. They're delicious, but there's lots of them and most all of them make a fine potato salad (which ain't a salad, btw).

Hell, Sysco makes about 30 different versions and might be behind a lot of the ones they love in Charlottesville.

When I see spiteful posts aimed at my home state, my automatic inclination is to respond in kind. But please, let’s take the high road here and focus on what unites us, not divides us.

I bet UVA fans put raisins in their potato salad. And I think we all agree that’s morally wrong. I’ll be praying for them.

We lost Grisham (the author, not the astronaut) a long time ago.

I'm not even sure we're his third favorite school anymore. It's pretty obvious UVA and Ole Miss are way ahead of us.

I suspect he's an insufferable snob, but unlike the typical Ole Miss snob, he actually has the cattle.
