I've been to Charlottesville once. The University campus is divided by a highway. Imagine half our campus is in the cotton district and the other half is around the football stadium
They think so much of baseball, their stadium is off campus to the north and down some side road a mile or so.
The school/town seemed like Hattiesburg or Tupelo.

I know a guy that got a walk on spot under Mullen because his dad did his pool. If a kid's family has money, you find a spot.

It was McMahon. And it's absolutely the reason for the falling out with Grisham.
I personally think we should have found a way to get his kid on the team just for the pub that daddy brings, but I can certainly see the opposite side.
Definitely a terrible move on McMahon's part. All he needed was to wear the uniform and JG would've been happy.
For his money and the attention he could have brought, I damn sure would have let his kid play some midweek games when we were blowing out someone.

Look at it from this perspective. Think about how we felt when Vic left for Texas. O'Connor has been at UVA 4 times longer than Vic was here, has been much more successful, and does not have the 'going back home' excuse.
