If you put on glasses, you’re automatically a nerd and smarter.

Everyone knows martial arts.

Billy Zabka is the bad guy in every teen movie.

It was common to put jeans on bare ***.

If you want to win the girl and save her grandfather’s property, you usually had to win a water skiing contest..

- Don't ever cross the streams.

- Jimmy will make it.

- Lea Thompson has a fetish for water fowl.

- Bigfoot exists and spent a couple of months living with John Lithgow's family.

- If you put gunpowder in a gaping flesh wound and light it on fire with a road flare, not only is the wound carterized, it makes it sterile as well.

Every 80s movie had at least 3 cringe worthy corny moments like this

That when the paper boy wants his $2 he will go to great lengths to hunt you down relentlessly on his bicycle in an effort to collect. It's almost as if you'd be better off dead.

Also...that Loyd would say anything to avoid following a normal career path.

I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

A well-placed clever/witty/ironic one-liner before or after killing someone makes violent death hilarious.

If you inquire about women’s panties and make small talk with the hot chick behind the lingerie counter at the mall, she will lift her skirt and demonstrate how you “can’t see the line.”

You can make a submarine launch out of the water so as to cause a torpedo lose its targeting on your submarine. [Technically 1990, but close enough]

You can escape from a straight jacket by purposefully dislocating your shoulder. You can then fix your shoulder by slamming it against a concrete pillar.

Carpe diem
